About Us
The Bennett Family Foundation funds non-profit organizations that strive to provide stability, self-sufficiency and hope for their clients.  In our first four years of grants, we have supported programs that span several areas of focus within that charter.  Examples include:
 
Support for Mental Health
Mental Health Housing Foundation – build and maintain low-income housing for chronically mentally ill individuals

Street Talk outreach to the city’s most isolated homeless youth before the patterns and habits of that lifestyle become entrenched

Youth Eastside Services – individual and family counseling for kids coping with emotional issues, substance abuse and violence

Youth Suicide Prevention Program – training for suicide awareness and prevention for youth

Access to Basic Needs

ACHIEVEability services for single parent, low-income families such as education, job readiness, and housing assistance

The Clinic – free or low-cost medical care for the uninsured in the Phoenixville/Paoli area

Family Violence & Rape Crisis Services intervention and prevention services to battered women and sexual assault victims

PACS Connects the area's "working poor" with community resources and emergency assistance
 
Alternatives & New Skills

ArtWorks gives at-risk youth a chance to create public artwork and identify professional opportunities in the arts

Left Foot Organics – operates an organic garden as horticultural therapy for individuals at varying developmental levels

Lots to Gardens sustainable urban agriculture to create access to fresh food, involving youth as leaders

Roxbury Youth Programs [UUUM] – after-school program offering skills training and mentoring for middle- and high-school students

Vera Project – music/arts center for youth that emphasizes inclusion and participation, including youth involvement in its governance
