The Bennett Family Foundation funds non-profit organizations that strive to provide stability, self-sufficiency and hope for their clients. In our first four years of grants, we have supported programs that span several areas of focus within that charter. Examples include:
Access to Basic Needs
ACHIEVEability – services for single parent, low-income families such as education, job readiness, and housing assistance
The Clinic – free or low-cost medical care for the uninsured in the Phoenixville/Paoli area
Family Violence & Rape Crisis Services – intervention and prevention services to battered women and sexual assault victims
PACS – Connects the area's "working poor" with community resources and emergency assistance
Alternatives & New SkillsArtWorks – gives at-risk youth a chance to create public artwork and identify professional opportunities in the arts
Left Foot Organics – operates an organic garden as horticultural therapy for individuals at varying developmental levels
Lots to Gardens – sustainable urban agriculture to create access to fresh food, involving youth as leaders
Roxbury Youth Programs [UUUM] – after-school program offering skills training and mentoring for middle- and high-school students
Vera Project – music/arts center for youth that emphasizes inclusion and participation, including youth involvement in its governance
